Title: The Eccentric Feline: Embracing Uniqueness and Perfection in a Rescue Tale

Some Called This Wobbly Cat

Meet Hermann, the ginger tabby who found himself in need of a new home when his previous owners couldn’t handle his playful nature. Thankfully, the caring team at Mila’s Sanctuary stepped in and transformed his world for the better. Now, say hello to the cheerful and content Hermann!

Milo’s Sanctuary shares the heartwarming tale of a special orange cat named Herman. Despite his crooked bottom jaw, snaggletooth, and wobbly walk due to Cerebellar Hypoplasia, Herman never fails to display his sweet and happy personality through his constant purring and smiling. This unique kitty was sadly abandoned by his original family in Colorado in 2013, but all it took was a second chance for Herman to find love and care at Milo’s Sanctuary. His deformed jaw and possible partial blindness only add to his charm, making him a truly one-of-a-kind feline companion.

Milo, a fortunate cat, found a caring foster parent who looked after him for five months until Milo’s Sanctuary in Burbank, California heard about his story. Milo’s Sanctuary then welcomed him into their permanent home, stating, “Herman is now part of our family forever through Milo’s Lifetime Care program.”

At Millo’s Sanctuary, Herman has blossomed into a lively, laid-back, and resilient individual since his arrival. Every day, he eagerly awaits his human caretaker, welcoming her with a playful display of lying on his back and inviting belly rubs. In fact, Herman has developed a strong affinity for belly rubs and will happily roll over to signal his desire for some affectionate attention.

A heartwarming moment unfolded at Millo’s Sanctuary a year ago when Herman, a special needs cat, enjoyed belly rubs and head scratches. As he flexed and curled one paw, then the other, Herman began to knead, a behavior known as “making biscuits.” This gentle action, done slowly and shakily, was a first for Herman in his two years at the sanctuary. Watching his effort to coordinate his movements was truly touching, a reminder of the special bond between Herman and his caretakers.

In the cozy atmosphere of Millo’s Sanctuary, every small achievement made by the cats brings immense joy to everyone involved. Patsy, a caretaker at the sanctuary, shared that Herman, a special needs cat, taught them valuable lessons about love, resilience, and living life to the fullest despite facing limitations. They learned how to care for a cat who may have seemed fragile at first glance, but actually showed strength, determination, and boundless affection.

Milo’s Safe Haven

Herman is loving life surrounded by numerous feline friends, some of whom require extra care.

“Half a year after Herman joined our family, we welcomed another CH-stricken kitten named Bear to the mix. Like Herman, Bear also has difficulty walking. Thankfully, Herman took on the role of a caring older sibling almost immediately, and the bond between Herman and Bear continues to grow stronger each day.”

At Millo’s Sanctuary, Herman never fails to warm hearts with his endearing personality and charming spirit. Despite his unique appearance and steady movements, he approaches life with joy and never fails to touch hearts with his constant purring.

While some may see Herman as “ugly” or “weird”, we view him as nothing short of perfection. His charming character and zest for life make him incredibly handsome in our eyes.
