On the first of November, a pair acquired an aged residence and stumbled upon a pooch that seemed to have been confined for quite some time before their arrival. Marisa, from Coraço100dono, took charge by taking the dog to the veterinarian as it was underfed and had protruding bones that could puncture its skin.
According to the realtor, there was no dog belonging to the previous owner of the house. This leads us to believe that Valentine must have been abandoned in the house as the gate was locked and he had no way of escaping. It wasn’t until the current pair entered the house that Valentine was discovered.
Our little guy had a rough time surviving on nothing but rainwater for a few weeks. As a result, he was infested with fleas and parasites, as you can see for yourself. Despite his challenges, you can tell from the look in his eyes that he’s determined to make it. The following day, Marisa took him to her shelter, where his story quickly spread on social media.
Vale is happily devouring his appetizer while Marisa finally takes him out for a much-needed stroll. It’s been three days since we rescued him and he has already put on a kilo!
He is now able to stride with ease and enjoy time with his pals, although he still has a lot of progress to make. Nevertheless, he can finally sleep soundly in a cozy bed.
