Earlier this year, a cat rescue group in Brisbane, Australia, welcomed a little tabby into their care after he was found wandering the streets alone.
A kind-hearted stranger saw the lonely cat and brought him to a vet clinic for assistance. As soon as the rescue group heard about his situation, they quickly arranged for a foster family to take in the kitten, affectionately named Ernie.
Upon settling into his temporary home, Ernie seamlessly blended into the household as if he belonged there all along. “Despite his small size, he didn’t hesitate to join in on the fun and games,” Best Friends Felines revealed.
Ernie was found wandering the streets by @bestfriendsfelines. It remains a mystery as to how he ended up out in the open, but Ernie is now safe and secure, no longer having to worry about where his next meal or shelter will come from. He has adapted well to his new surroundings, making himself at home with various toys, cat posts, and enjoying all the treats he can eat. Above all, Ernie has developed a strong bond with his human companions, seeking attention whenever he can.

After spending time on the streets, Ernie began showing symptoms of cat flu but received timely treatment. “He is healthy and happy, although he may have slight flare-ups during stressful times.”
Ernie didn’t let anything hinder him. With careful attention and plenty of tender loving care, he bounced back and found delight in cuddles and the fun of exploring the house on his foster parents’ shoulders.
He adores getting carried around the house on someone’s shoulders.

Since then, Ernie has been giving out cuddles to anyone he meets.
“He makes sure every house guest gets some quality ‘Ernie time’ when they visit to show how friendly and funny he can be,” Best Friends Felines noted.
Ernie absolutely adores his feline friends and has a special bond with them. You can find him on Instagram as @bestfriendsfelines, where he shares his love for people and all cats he meets. With his furry friends, he enjoys playful antics around the house, always up for some fun. When he gets tired, he looks for a cozy lap to relax in and drift off to sleep to the soothing sound of his purrs.
After causing chaos around the house, he enjoys snuggling up in his owner’s lap.
“He’s a bundle of energy who loves to play until he’s exhausted, then he’ll curl up for a nap, cuddle, and purr with his foster parents.”
Whenever he sees someone in the kitchen, he quickly runs over to provide assistance by leaping onto their shoulders to supervise.
Ernie is always ready to lend a paw in the kitchen, assisting his human @bestfriendsfelines. Whenever his human wears a hoodie, Ernie eagerly jumps into the “carrier” for a fun ride around the house. With his cheerful and carefree nature, Ernie is up for any adventure. He craves attention and ensures that everyone in the house receives a healthy dose of his affection.
