A heartbroken mother dog had to bid farewell to her puppy when it was adopted in a region of China.

Since around the middle of September, a mixed-breed stray dog who recently had a litter of seven puppies has been under the watchful care of students at Zhengzhou University in Henan province.
In the footage captured on Monday, we see the emotional mother bidding farewell to her beloved brown puppy with teary eyes and a final kiss before it embarks on a new journey with its new owner.
The woman was seen cradling the little puppy in her arms as she made her way to her scooter, with the worried mother following closely behind.
The mama dog stopped by the owner’s scooter, looking sad with her head down, tail tucked, and ears hanging low, almost as if she was begging to be reunited with her little one.
The owner gently handed the puppy back to its mother, who showered it with kisses before parting ways. “Don’t fret, I’ll make sure your little one is well taken care of,” reassured the owner to the mother dog.
The mother dog swivels her head and struts off, pausing for one last look at her beloved pup before leaving.
