While taking a stroll in the Bronx, a compassionate lady encountered a skinny cat with dirty, tangled fur. The poor little guy limped over to her, meowing for assistance. Without hesitation, she provided him with some cat food, rescued him from the streets, and completely transformed his life.
Nancy, a kind-hearted volunteer at magnificat Cat Rescue and Rehoming in the Bronx, New York, encountered a poor, hungry, and unkempt cat one day. The cat, with a wobbly walk, approached Nancy seeking assistance. The first order of business was a visit to the vet to address the medical issues the kitty was facing. Nancy decided to name the little feline Attila.

The vet noted that Attila was eating ravenously and had a newfound curiosity and friendliness. Although already neutered, Attila was without a microchip. After a night at the vet, Attila regained his strength and had all the matted fur removed from his coat. The transformation in Attila’s health and demeanor was truly remarkable.

The rescue organization shared a heartwarming update about his transformation, noting that the painful mats have been completely removed. Remarkably, Attila’s spirits were already lifted just two days after being rescued.

During the drive to Kris Barone-Parente’s house, Attila showed signs of alertness, good appetite, and social behavior towards everyone, including other cats. It was surprising to see that Attila was craving the companionship of other felines, as he interacted and even shared a meal with Kris’s cats. After receiving treatment at the vet’s, Attila’s health and appearance have noticeably improved.
magnificat Cat Rescue and Rehoming took in a cat who was severely underweight. Despite his long legs and frame, his back was barely two inches wide with no body fat. Despite his shaky movements, he explored his new home eagerly, showing nothing but love for his new life.
