“Miracle on Paws: Plumbers Save Tape-Bound Pup, Bringing Joy and Wagging Tails”

Our animal club is here to provide you with the latest and most interesting updates on new animal discoveries. On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, a heartwarming story unfolded when Carrillo, an employee at Shoreline Pipes in Texas, shared his experience of finding a dog that they initially mistook for something else. Upon closer inspection, they discovered a German Shepherd born without back paws, but who had learned to walk on his new prosthetic legs.

Carrillo described the shocking scene of the dog with his mouth taped shut and tied up with tubing, abandoned and left to die. Despite his difficult start in life, the German Shepherd showed incredible resilience and care as he watched over his new baby chicks, displaying an extra level of gentleness and caution in his actions. This story is a reminder of the incredible bond between humans and animals, and the amazing strength and compassion that animals can show even in the face of adversity.

Carillo and his friend quickly worked to free the dog. “He seemed to be in good shape,” Carrillo mentioned. “He was very affectionate and appreciated the attention. He probably had only been there for a day or two.”

After managing to get the dog into their vehicle, the plumbers brought him to Peewee’s Pet Fostering, a nearby shelter that does not euthanize animals. “Look at that expression,” Carrillo noted about the dog’s joy at being alive. “He knows he was rescued!”

The dog, despite having heartworms, was found to be in good health and has started treatment. A spokesperson from Peewee’s Animal Fostering mentioned, “His tail keeps wagging, he’s such a lovable dog.” The person who abandoned the dog was not found, but thanks to the plumbers, the dog now has a chance for a new life. All he needs now is a caring and permanent home.
