Calico cats have always captivated me with their one-of-a-kind patchwork coats. It’s nearly impossible to resist their charm and unique beauty. Take, for example, a little rescued kitten named Matilda who instantly won over her owner’s heart. It’s remarkable how a mere glance at a photo or video of a feline can spark such a strong emotional bond with us.
With her stunning beauty, fluffy coat, and unique calico markings, it seemed impossible that the charming cat would still be up for adoption. However, to everyone’s surprise, she was! And from that moment on, the story of Freya the Fluff began.

We welcomed this adorable furball into our home on January 12th after a long drive to pick her up. Surprisingly, she remained quiet and calm throughout the journey. This little one is incredibly courageous and enjoys meeting new people and discovering new places. She was discovered trying to climb through someone’s window screen and was taken in by a rescue shelter when she was only 8 weeks old. The moment I saw her orange face on Petfinder, I knew she was the one for us!
How did you come across Freya and decide to bring her into your life? What inspired her name change and how did she react to her new name? Can you describe her personality and share some of her favorite hobbies? Does Freya have any furry housemates, such as cats or dogs, at home? Lastly, what is a special trait or fact about Freya that you would like others to know?
Freya is hands down the most courageous kitten I’ve come across! With a fearless and daring attitude, she also has a soft and affectionate side, adoring human company. She enjoys being cuddled and will happily shadow you around the house to keep an eye on your activities. As for her pastimes, she finds pleasure in perching by the window, observing the bustling bird and squirrel activity in the yard. Her eagerness to learn is evident as she has already mastered the command “sit” and is currently in training to learn “down” and how to enter her backpack. Furthermore, she has a playful side and thoroughly enjoys engaging in playtime.
Does Freya have any furry roommates to keep her company at home?
Freya shares her space with a 10-year-old dog named Kayden and a kitty companion named Dior!
