In Suwałki, Poland, a weary and forlorn dog sought refuge on a newly coated tar surface in search of warmth and comfort. The poor creature seemed to have been abandoned and left to fend for himself.
Regrettably, the pooch was clueless about his predicament until he began yelping for assistance. Fortunately, laborers in the vicinity were alerted by the canine’s resounding barks and rushed to his aid.
Upon arriving at the location, the dog caught their attention and they immediately called for Joanna Godlewska, an expert in animal rescue from Niczyje Animal Foundation. The courageous canine managed to pull its snout out of the sticky tar, enabling it to bark and breathe once again.
The dog was rescued by a team of animal rescuers who carefully removed its fur with the help of the police and fire departments. After a challenging effort, they finally managed to free the dog’s body from the sticky tar.
Afterwards, the pooch was brought to the veterinarian for a check-up and to alleviate his exhaustion. The medical staff found more than 100 ticks infesting his body and carefully removed them.
After undergoing several washes to get rid of the stubborn tar on its fur and paws, the dog was finally given a cozy bed and a warm meal. Thankfully, the pup showed signs of improvement and even received treatment for minor injuries on its head.
Farcik, the adorable pup, is gradually mastering the art of walking and will stay with his saviors until he makes a full recovery. Once he bounces back, he’ll be up for adoption and on the lookout for a permanent residence. Here’s wishing him a speedy recuperation and a forever home soon!
