Despite being only three years old, Meg the dog has experienced great hardships in her short life.
Meg, a small furry caramel-colored dog, suddenly showed up on the doorstep of a Texas home. The homeowner was taken aback by her appearance – her neglected coat, emaciated body, scabies-infested skin, and flea-infested fur.

Meg was discovered weighing under 5 kilograms, suffering from mange, infections, and a severe flea infestation. The vet noted that she was also missing half of her ear, labeling her case as one of the most severe they had ever encountered.
However, on top of that, the dog also suffered an injury to one of her front legs. Due to her small size, the fracture was severe, putting her at risk of losing the limb permanently. Meg’s small eyes and heart carry the weight of her suffering as well.
Given the extensive list of issues to address, the rescue team opted to kick off Meg’s recovery journey by tackling her skin ailments. She was put on antibiotics and closely monitored, resulting in gradual but promising improvements in her overall condition. Within a few days of attentive care, her respiratory rate was back to normal.
Although facing difficult circumstances, Meg has maintained a positive and appreciative attitude towards everyone who has shown concern for her. This outpouring of love and care is something she has never experienced before, but it is gradually helping her mend her wounded heart.
The people who saved her never leave her side, making sure to do whatever it takes to bring a smile to her face. Her once dull skin now shines with its natural radiance, and she continues to receive care from the veterinarian until she’s fully recovered.
