Dazzled by the Luxury: A Tour of the Lavish $15M Atlanta Estate of Steve Harvey

Following Madea is Steve Harvey, who is known for his comedic presence. It’s been reported by TMZ that the former comedian turned talk show host, along with his wife Marjorie, purchased Tyler Perry’s Buckhead estate in Atlanta, Georgia for a whopping $15 million.

The programming lineup of a television channel could easily be centered around the talents of Harvey and Perry. With popular shows like “Showtime at the Apollo,” “Celebrity Family Feud,” and the Miss Universe pageant all being hosted by the 63-year-old duo.

Perry has programs airing on a variety of channels including BET, Netflix, OWN, and Nickelodeon. They both experienced homelessness and spent time living in their cars before finding success in the entertainment industry.

In 2016, Perry finally managed to sell his massive 35,000-square-foot property for $17.5 million after struggling to find a buyer for almost two years. The property initially had an ambitious asking price of $25 million, making the final sale price a substantial drop. Nevertheless, the sale of the mansion marked the most expensive housing deal in Atlanta at that time.

Prepare yourself as we delve into the countless amenities of this luxurious seven-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom estate. Spanning across 17 acres of well-kept greenery, you’ll find beautifully manicured gardens, a stunning 70,000-gallon infinity pool, a well-lit tennis court, a state-of-the-art gym, and a separate spa all waiting to be explored.

The luxurious residence comes with a backup generator that can supply electricity to the whole estate, including a guesthouse, guardhouse, separate caretaker’s suite, state-of-the-art security system, and various other features.

The main mansion’s French Provincial design includes a theater, indoor pool, wine cellar, and underground ballroom with a catering kitchen as some of its standout features.

As per information from buckhead.com, David Turner, a former businessman turned evangelist, made an interesting real estate transaction by purchasing Perry and then selling Harvey. His unconventional business decisions and property acquisitions have raised eyebrows. In an interview, Turner mentioned, “I stumbled upon this house online and had this overwhelming sensation that God was telling me, ‘This is your home.'” When Turner sold the mansion, he faced a loss of $2.5 million, not including additional expenses such as carrying costs, renovations, and broker fees.

The luxurious 6,500 square foot estate in Little Elm, Texas, boasting five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, previously owned by Harvey, is currently on the market for $1.1 million, alongside another substantial property in Atlanta. Prior to acquiring the Perry home, Turner and his family had been residing in a lavish mansion in the gated Beverly Park community in California, paying a hefty monthly rent of $100,000.
