Courageous Mama Pup Perseveres Alone Until Rescuers Answer Her Cry

Despite the efforts of various animal welfare organizations, an increasing number of dogs are being abandoned on the streets to fend for themselves.

Many of these unfortunate animals have suffered from previous abuse or neglect, left defenseless against the dangers that surround them.

One such heartbreaking case is that of Angel, a young Siberian Husky and German Shepherd mix who was left tied to a tree in Iglesia Park, Aliso Viejo, California, along with her seven puppies. Thankfully, rescuers from a nearby center discovered them in time and sprang into action to save them.

This heartwrenching situation serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and responsibility towards our furry friends.

The situation could have turned out much differently as there were various risks lurking nearby. During coyote mating season, these animals were often seen wandering the city streets. Thankfully, the worst-case scenario was avoided.

Staff at the center searched for a microchip on Angel’s body, but she didn’t have one. Fortunately, both she and her puppies seemed to be in good health, showing no signs of prior mistreatment. The center’s employees had nothing but praise for this courageous mother.

Kelly Tokarski, the public information specialist for the City of Mission Viejo, mentioned on the city’s website, “Angel is a wonderful dog who is very affectionate. She adores attention and will happily climb onto your lap to receive it. She just needs a loving home to give her the care she deserves.”

City of Mission Viejo, CA – Local Government officials, along with the Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG), ensured that Angel and her puppies received necessary baths, vaccines, and medical supplies before embarking on a new chapter in their lives. Thanks to the kindness of many individuals, this canine family was able to start afresh and find happiness.

The puppies quickly found their forever homes without any issues, but Angel, despite being a young pup herself, had to wait a bit longer. However, the power of social media once again showed its positive impact, as within just 24 hours of Angel’s story being shared on KNBC Channel 4 and the City’s social media channels, the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center received a surge of adoption applications for this sweet Siberian husky-German shepherd mix. This heartwarming success story showcases how communities can come together to make a difference in the lives of animals in need.
