Adri and her partner were driving through a deserted road on their way home to Georgia when they unexpectedly encountered a Beagle wandering across the street. Concerned for the dog’s safety, they quickly stopped their car and went to her aid.
As they scooped up the scared and sad-looking pup, they couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness. Adri gently petted the dog, offering soothing words to comfort her. Without a second thought, the couple decided to bring her back to their home.
Their mission now was to gain the trust and affection of the Beagle they named Mocha, hoping to make her feel safe and loved in her new surroundings.
The Dodo reported about a couple who found a sweet dog without a collar or microchip, hoping someone was looking for her. Despite contacting shelters and posting online, no one claimed her. The pup was scared, keeping her tail between her legs and avoiding eye contact. Adri was saddened to see Mocha hide under cabinets, showing she wasn’t used to human interaction or being indoors.
The doggo, later named Mocha by her rescuers, was slowly gaining trust as they hand-fed her and cared for her. They were concerned about her puppies and took her back to where they found her, but sadly they couldn’t locate them. It was heartbreaking for Adri and her partner to realize that Mocha had been abandoned after giving birth.
To help Mocha adjust, they introduced her to the other rescue dogs.
The couple decided to introduce Mocha to their other rescue dogs, which marked the beginning of positive changes for her. The other pups became Mocha’s mentors, teaching her how to be a dog and engaging in playtime outdoors.
Since Mocha was initially wary of Adri, she attempted to build a connection with the pooch through the glass patio door. Adri would reach out her hand towards Mocha, calling her to come closer. As the other rescue dogs gathered by the glass door to be near their mom, Mocha eventually joined them.
Although Mocha still harbored fear, she found comfort in interacting with Adri through the glass door. Gradually, Adri extended her hand outside, and Mocha reciprocated with affectionate kisses.
This nurturing environment allowed Mocha to gradually feel safe and secure in her new surroundings.
The Dodo reported a heartwarming story about Mocha, a shy puppy who finally approached Adri after four weeks. Adri was ecstatic as it was the first time Mocha voluntarily sat next to her without seeking an escape route. Although Mocha seemed a bit nervous, she stayed by Adri’s side without any treats involved. The couple’s continuous love and patience helped Mocha trust them completely, making her fears disappear over time. This heartwarming journey of trust and love was beautifully captured in the image of a scared puppy gradually finding comfort and security.
From that point on, we have seen some incredible progress. Now she happily hops onto my lap, letting me give her all the scratches and cuddles she could ever want. It’s truly heartwarming to witness her transformation, and every bit of effort we put in feels completely worthwhile,” Adri shared.
Initially, Adri and her partner had hoped to find a new, loving home for Mocha. However, as time went on, it became crystal clear that Mocha had already found her forever home – right there with them in Georgia.
We are overjoyed that Mocha has landed in a loving family that showers her with the care and affection she deserves. At long last, this little pup has found the happy and loving home she always longed for.
