On her regular drive along the river, Audra Petraškienė noticed something out of the ordinary – a wet dog standing by the road, trembling with fear. Acting quickly, she pulled over and rushed to help the distressed animal. As she got closer, she was shocked to find something alarming wrapped around the dog’s neck.
On Facebook, Audra Petraskiene shared a surprising encounter she had while driving her usual route. She was taken aback by the sight of a dog by the roadside, clearly in distress. The poor animal had a heavy metal weight tied around its neck and was drenched from head to paw. It seemed as though someone had cruelly attempted to drown the dog, but it had somehow managed to swim to safety. This unexpected and shocking sight left Audra feeling both worried and determined to help the helpless creature.
“It seems like someone fastened this metal object around his neck and dumped him in the river,” conveyed Petraškienė’s daughter, Andra, to The Dodo. The poor dog was frightened and shivering, just like a leaf caught in a strong breeze. It’s unbelievable how he was able to escape the cruel intentions of whoever wanted to harm him. Thankfully, he made it out safely!
“It’s a real survivor,” Andra mentioned.
Audra was utterly perplexed by the cruelty of the person who could harm the dog. We were equally horrified, as only a heartless monster could inflict such harm.
In shock, Audra asked the dog who could have done such a thing when she discovered him.
Upon seeing the poor dog’s condition, Audra couldn’t help but shed tears at the thought of what he had endured. Despite feeling a surge of anger, Audra was quickly overcome by a strong determination to help the dog in any way possible.
Taking the dog back home, Audra carefully removed the heavy kettlebell that was causing him distress.
Taking her pooch to the vet for a check-up, the woman carefully examined him and then brought him in for a professional assessment.
Luckily, the vet gave the dog a clean bill of health and found no major injuries.
Audra reached out to the authorities about the situation, hoping that the police will be able to locate the culprit. Andra admires her mother’s compassionate nature, noting that she is dedicated to assisting animals in need.
The police have located the owner of the dog, but they did not provide any details on what led to the incident. It is suspected that it could be a case of revenge between neighbors. Audra chose to keep the dog in a secure shelter until the situation is completely sorted out.
I really hope that this sweet dog will soon find a forever home filled with love and kindness, and never have to experience something like this again. No matter what led to this situation, the dog is innocent and doesn’t deserve any blame.
