A Heartwarming Rescue Mission: Saving a Malnourished Pup at the Local Animal Shelter

Recently, a dog was brought to KHS in critical condition after being found on the brink of death due to extreme starvation. The time he spent outdoors in freezing temperatures, trying to survive on his own, is unknown. We are incredibly grateful to the Good Samaritan who rescued him and brought him to KHS. The dog, now named Miracle, is just one year old and only weighs 45 pounds, far below the healthy weight of 70 pounds. His condition is so severe that he is unable to walk, lift his head, or eat on his own.

Our dedicated veterinary team is working tirelessly to save Miracle’s life, although his prognosis is uncertain. They are providing him with I.V. fluids and hand-feeding him with a syringe. Our veterinarians are committed to staying with him through the night to monitor his condition. Updates on his progress will be shared as soon as they become available. Meanwhile, we ask for your support through donations to help Miracle and other animals like him receive the care they need.

The extent of care Miracle will need is still unclear. Please keep this brave dog in your thoughts as he fights for his life. We believe in miracles, knowing that every animal in our care receives love and support from generous individuals like you. Any donations made in honor of Miracle would be greatly appreciated. Stay tuned for updates on his journey on our Facebook page and blog.
