Excitement is building for our upcoming challenge in March 2016, as we gear up to conquer Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest peak, to raise funds for animal welfare. I welcomed Stevie into my household four years back, after adopting him from a shelter in Cork, Ireland. Stevie, who is visually impaired, has become a cherished member of our family ever since then.
She has a natural passion for adventure and loves joining me on hikes through the stunning landscapes of Ireland.
Thanks to her keen senses, Stevie uses a combination of her senses to navigate her surroundings.
She possesses a keen sense of smell.
She rests close to the ground, her whiskers finely tuned to perceive the world around her.
She relies on her paws to accurately measure distances, ensuring she stays safe and doesn’t accidentally plunge off edges.
Stevie loves to explore on her own, relying on the sound of my voice to lead her.
Currently, we are in the process of planning a large hiking event set to take place in March 2016 with the goal of raising funds for the welfare of animals in Ireland.
Stevie has always been a source of inspiration for me, as her courage, determination, and deep appreciation for life never fail to motivate me.
