When college student Molly Lichtenwanger, who struggles with anxiety, met Otitis the fearless white cat, she knew they were a perfect match. Otitis, abandoned by his previous owners due to ear cysts that caused him to lose his hearing, couldn’t have found a better owner in Molly. Having experience with a deaf dog in the past, Molly knew exactly how to care for pets with special needs. She showered Otitis with love, and in return, the feline returned that love and more.
Molly, with affection in her voice, shared, “I was experiencing severe anxiety following a car accident… I decided to adopt an animal to help with my anxiety, as nothing helped me more than cuddling with furry friends.” Otitis quickly proved to be the perfect emotional support cat. Grateful for being rescued, he constantly gives Molly affectionate snuggles.
Otitis is there for Molly when she is feeling overwhelmed or having a panic attack. “He is sometimes the only thing that can calm me down… He is the best thing I ever did, and he truly rescued me, not the other way around.”
“Molly described living with Otitis as a dream come true, “He is the most loving, snuggly cat and he makes me feel so loved,” she told Bored Panda.
