A tiny little kitten named Collin found himself in a county shelter at just 3-4 weeks old, bursting with energy and longing for a place to call his own. Fortunately, a kind-hearted shelter employee decided to take him in temporarily while they tried to find a rescue group to help. When the folks at AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue caught wind of Collin’s situation, they didn’t hesitate to offer their assistance. That very same day, Collin was whisked away from the shelter to a cozy foster home filled with love and warmth.

Upon his arrival, he confidently strutted out of the carrier as if he were the king of the castle. Foster mom Allison Ilcken shared with Love Meow, “He immediately sensed he was in a secure environment.” This little guy, weighing only one pound, wasted no time snuggling up to his caregivers, snuggling right under their chin. It was as though he was making up for lost time with his enthusiastic displays of affection.
Collin had a fun play session with Izzy, the dog. He showed his affectionate and brave personality by fearlessly approaching a bigger resident dog and playfully wrestling with her tail and nibbling on her ear. Collin was full of energy, like a little dynamo with no pause button. Although he was born with entropion, a condition where the eyelids roll inward causing irritation, he remained unstoppable. He would eventually need corrective surgery, but for now, he kept on playing without any signs of slowing down.
He came into this world with a condition known as entropion. All he ever wanted was to frolic with all the animals he came across and make new friends. His excitement knew no bounds when he discovered there was another foster kitten in the vicinity. Chloe, a ginger tabby in need of a loving home, had been found outside, infested with fleas, much like Collin. Joining forces seemed like the perfect solution for these two lonely souls.
After giving Chloe the proper TLC and feeding her well, all those annoying fleas were finally history, and she began to thrive. When it was time for her to mingle, Allison knew exactly who to set her up with. Collin had been itching for a new pal to play with, and when he caught sight of Chloe, a kitten around his age, he was over the moon and headed straight for her.
Allison told Love Meow that Chloe was a bit hesitant at first, but after an hour they became the best of friends. They started playing, chasing each other, and roughhousing like they were siblings from the start.
Allison’s cats, known as the dynamic duo, can frequently be spotted snuggled up together for a nap. During feeding time, they like to switch things up by enjoying their meals from each other’s bowls, all while twisting around each other in a playful dance.
Allison, whose username is ilckenzoo, shared how Chloe and Collin are always seeking each other out. When Chloe can’t find Collin, she chirps until they are reunited. They spend their days snuggling and playing together. After Collin’s eye surgery, Chloe stayed by his side constantly. Collin’s recovery was filled with Chloe keeping his spirits up and his energy levels high.
Allison’s bond with her best friend grew even stronger during this period, especially when they added a new foster kitten named Carter to their little crew. Together, they explore every nook and cranny of the house, finding hidden treasures and engaging in playful chases that keep them energized and entertained.
