Despite his unique appearance with crossed eyes, Bum has perfect vision and Courtney says he enjoys chasing after things. The almost two-year-old cat gained internet fame after being featured on the popular cat blog, Love Meow, where his adorable pensive expression captured hearts.

Although Bum’s eyes may look a bit unusual, there are no health concerns associated with them. According to Courtney, his eyes and lids are shaped in a quirky way, but otherwise he is completely healthy. He has been checked by a vet and given a clean bill of health.

Courtney mentioned that Bum has sharp vision and is an excellent bug-catcher. He also loves playing with toys and can easily chase them down. Bum, along with his littermates, was brought to the San Diego Humane Society’s Kitten Nursery when he was only 5 months old. Courtney, who works at the nursery, instantly fell in love with Bum and decided to adopt him.

In a nod to her favorite baseball team, the San Francisco Giants, Courtney named him after pitcher Madison Bumgarner on the day the team won the 2014 World Series.

According to Courtney, Bum is a cheerful and affectionate cat who enjoys looking after other feline companions in foster care.

He adores kittens and has even assisted Courtney in fostering young litters, as well as spending time with injured cats in need of rehabilitation. Alongside his feline friends, Bum shares his home with Admiral Kitty Kingman, a three-legged cat who adds even more charm to their cozy household.
