An interesting incident occurred in Albury, Australia in 2019 when a remarkable Dalmatian named Melody broke a world record for her breed by giving birth to an exceptional 19 puppies in one litter. Melody’s breeder, Melissa O’Brien, shared the extraordinary experience, mentioning that the mother put on 33 pounds during pregnancy and had to undergo a cesarean section with the help of eight medical professionals. Although large litters were not uncommon in Melissa’s line of work, Melody’s litter surpassed all expectations. The puppies, named after popular Disney characters, exhibited wonderful personalities. Like Louise Clement, Melissa decided to keep one puppy and found loving homes for the rest. Despite the impressive feat, some of the puppies needed extra care and bottle-feeding to assist their mother.
