The French bulldog, also known as the Frenchie, gained popularity as the third most loved breed in Britain in 2015, following the Lab and cocker spaniel.

In 2016, there was a significant 47% rise in the registration of French bulldogs with the Kennel Club, which is responsible for recording data on the country’s purebred dogs. The Frenchie’s popularity has skyrocketed, with a tenfold increase in registrations from 2009 to 2015.

Even celebrities like pop star Lady Gaga and fashion icon Victoria Beckham have shown their love for their Frenchies. Lady Gaga’s Asia has her own Instagram account and has been photographed by renowned photographer, Terry Richardson, wearing a stylish Philip Treacy hat. Victoria Beckham expressed how her husband David adores their Frenchie, Scarlett, gushing over her cuteness on Twitter. Both stars proudly embrace the roles of proud Frenchie parents.

The video was released ahead of the annual Prague derby between AC Sparta Prague and SK Slavia Prague - in cooperation with FRBUL (French Bulldog), a Czech organisation that shelters French Bulldogs with disabilities

The footage was launched just before the traditional Prague derby featuring AC Sparta Prague and SK Slavia Prague. The collaboration was with FRBUL (French Bulldog), a Czech group dedicated to caring for French Bulldogs in need of special assistance.

Frenchies also suffer from more serious health issues, especially joint problems, spinal disorders, eye diseases, heart problems and obesity - so FRBUL wanted to ensure even the worst affected are still loved

French Bulldogs are prone to a variety of health issues, such as joint problems, spinal disorders, eye diseases, heart problems, and obesity. Due to their flat faces, they are also at risk of respiratory issues. The French Bulldog Rescue and Welfare organization (FRBUL) strives to ensure that even the most severely affected Frenchies continue to receive love and care, especially in light of the increasing number of abandoned pugs and French bulldogs reported by the RSPCA last year.
