Finding Love and Comfort: A Beagle’s Journey to a Bright Future with a New Mom

Shep, the beagle who had lost his sight, was seen wandering down a road in Alabama. His past was filled with cruelty, with one eye and his neck being injured, and the other eye missing. Unfortunately, he was also without a home or anyone to care for him. Fortunately, Shep was rescued by Two by Two Animal Rescue and found a new loving home thanks to a Facebook post.

Micah Larsen Brannon, who is Shep’s mother, recalled the moment she first saw Shep’s picture one evening, and instantly knew that they were meant to be part of each other’s lives.

It appeared that Shep had been tied up and abandoned before someone found him, as noted by a veterinarian. Sadly, Shep was discovered frozen and in critical condition due to his eye condition. He was brought to an eye specialist who concluded that Shep would have to undergo surgery to remove his remaining eye because of the extent of the damage, leaving him completely blind.

Isaiah mentioned that nobody has any idea about the length of time the dog has been blind or how long his injuries were left untreated. Despite his blindness, the dog seems to be perfectly content and calm.

Shep, now aged eight, is over the moon about his current situation. He’s always on the move and he’s able to accomplish anything he puts his mind to.
