“From Chains to Freedom: A Rescued Farm Dog’s Journey to Happiness”

While driving by, a car noticed Violet, along with several other dogs, tethered with heavy metal chains that limited their movements and caused them distress.

Violet, approximately 2 years old at the time, was found along with five other dogs by Angela Stell, founder and head of NMDOG. Stell suspected that Violet had spent her entire life chained up. The dogs were found on a property in New Mexico, where it is illegal to keep dogs chained up without human supervision.

The local county sheriff’s department was sent to the property to find the owners, but it appeared that the dogs had been left behind. NMDOG took in all of the dogs, including Violet, and their journey to recovery started.

“She was surprised and still feels a bit nervous,” Stell mentioned. Violet might have experienced some mistreatment due to her actions, according to them.
Luckily, the puppy is now in a stable condition and recovering from her emotional distress. Once she is fully recovered, she will be ready for adoption!
