“Two-Legged Wonder Dog Defies the Odds and Inspires with Resilience”

A dog named Putol, who hails from the Philippines, was abandoned and was born with only two front legs. Despite her congenital condition, she has adapted to life by walking on her front legs. She is frequently seen keeping up with other dogs and exploring the streets of Casiguran in Quezon City. Putol’s name translates to “chopped” in Tagalog, but she has become a beloved member of the community because of her lively and courageous spirit. Danilo Codilego Jr., her owner, has helped her learn how to balance and navigate the world.

Mr. Codilego’s life was graced by Putol, a furry friend who came into his life through a thoughtful act by a previous colleague. This delightful encounter happened at his workplace where four little pups were brought in.

All of the other puppies found forever homes, except for little Putol who was born with two legs instead of four. Many people believed that Putol would not survive for very long, and as a result, no one was willing to adopt her. However, I decided to take a chance on her because I felt a deep sense of compassion towards her situation. Despite the uncertainty of what lay ahead, I knew that I had to help this little pup. There are simply no words to describe the empathy that we felt towards Putol.

During her early years, Putol had difficulty walking but with consistent practice over two years, she learned to balance herself using her front legs. As a result, at six years old, Putol is remarkably devoted to her owner and serves as a vigilant guard for Mr. Codilego’s home. According to Mr. Codilego, Putol assumes the role of a watchdog and will not hesitate to bark if she detects unfamiliar faces.

According to him, he noticed that his dog, Putol, tends to get jealous when he pays attention to other dogs. However, overall, she has a friendly demeanor and is popular among the locals. Whenever Mr. Codilego has to leave for work-related trips, Putol is well taken care of by others and does not encounter any issues.
