A group of baby mice had a close call when they stumbled upon a pile of tar that had been discarded on a junkyard. The sticky substance covered their entire bodies, leaving only their eyes visible and able to move. It was fortunate that they were rescued in time before things went from bad to worse.

When Animal Aid Unlimited in India received a distress call, they quickly came to the rescue of a dog who had become trapped in asphalt. It is believed that her loud wails alerted nearby humans to her predicament. Upon arrival, the team discovered additional puppies in equally dire circumstances. The younger siblings had also gotten stuck in the tar and one was even covered in plastic and pebbles. All the puppies were completely immobilized and clearly suffering from a range of emotions including confusion, pain, anxiety, and frustration.
The sight was heart-wrenching as two helpless pups were found completely covered in tar and only able to move their eyes. However, love and patience prevailed over this despairing situation. The rescue mission was a gradual process where the first step involved transporting the two puppies to a shelter. Despite being aware of their mother’s existence, she could not be found until the following day. Volunteers dedicated themselves to the task of removing the tar from the puppies, which was a meticulous process that took hours to complete. One of the dogs was even wrapped in plastic debris in addition to the tar, making the task even more challenging. Animal Aid Unlimited volunteers are seen carefully and diligently using their hands to remove stones, sand, branches, and other materials from the puppies’ bodies. The tar had solidified around the puppies’ bodies, but with unwavering dedication, the volunteers successfully freed them from their sticky prison.
The pups were cleaned up with chemicals that effectively removed any excess fat and improved their overall hygiene after disposing of the solid waste. Although there were still some traces of the hazardous chemical on their fur, the situation had greatly improved.
After successfully rescuing the first two, two more young individuals were found in comparable or even more dire situations. One of them was covered not only in stones and mud but also plastic waste, adding to their already distressing circumstances. The rescue efforts for these two took over three days to complete.
For over 72 hours, they dedicated themselves to caring for a group of four adorable puppies. These little ones had been through a lot and were feeling tired and discouraged, but their spirits were lifted when they started playing in the tar.
When their mother finally came back to them, she found her babies freed from harmful plastic and ready for love and nourishment. It was heartwarming to witness these pups back to their energetic selves after such a challenging experience!
Although they still had some tar residue on their skin, the young dogs were happy to be reunited with their mom and enjoying life together.
