“From Abandoned to Adorable: The Heartwarming Tale of a Mama Dog and Her 14 Precious Pups”

On the 22nd of December, Christmas Eve, a pregnant cat named Mam Nata was abandoned in front of IAPA. She was estimated to be around 8 weeks pregnant and close to delivery.

Upon discovery by Instituto Amor em Patas (IAPA), the poor dog was in an extremely weakened state and unable to stand up. Additionally, she was quite scared and it took some time for the IAPA team to soothe her. Her owner had abandoned her due to fear of the impending arrival of her puppies. Initially, the dog was extremely defensive and expended all of her energy trying to keep the shelter volunteers away from her and her unborn babies. However, as time passed, she began to let down her guard and became more open and friendly.

“Wow, check out the size of her belly! There could be around 13 or 14 little ones in there. We’re hoping to get her scheduled for a test tomorrow as she seems pretty weak,” shared a helpful volunteer.

It’s going to be a lengthy night for Natajuli and us as we gear up for her ultrasound to make sure everything is okay. Thankfully, Natajuli can come back to the shelter with the necessary assistance for delivering her babies, and she does so successfully with the arrival of a healthy baby boy.

Do you have the ability to tally up the number of puppies in front of you? There’s a grand total of 14! Natajuli, the mother, has given birth to a litter of 14 precious newborns. Recently, both the mother and her offspring went to the veterinarian’s office for a quick physical examination which included an ultrasound and bloodwork. Natajuli appeared quite flustered, but all 14 of her pups were healthy and thriving, carrying a significant weight. The sight of Natajuli and her adorable puppies made me feel overwhelmed with joy, and I couldn’t resist the urge to give them all a kiss.

Whoops, it slipped my mind to give these 14 adorable creatures a name! It’s quite a task to come up with the perfect name for each one. If you have a knack for naming things, share your suggestions in the comments below! Let’s give these cuties the names they deserve.
