According to Georgie Anderson, who had a conversation with Bored Panda, Frankie was born beneath a suburban home to a wild mother. He was found with only one surviving sibling, although there could have been more that didn’t make it. The kind homeowners took in Frankie and his brother, caring for them and preparing them for adoption before taking them to the shelter for further attention and finding them new homes.
Frankie’s unique features immediately catch people’s attention, starting with his four ears. His distinctive overbite also gives his face a striking angular look. Unfortunately, he arrived at the shelter with one ruptured eye, which had to be removed. Additionally, Frankie struggles with joint issues in his hind legs, causing him to walk splay-legged as his knees frequently shift in and out of place.

Georgie explained that because of his overbite, the lower canines of the cat were poking through the roof of his mouth. Additionally, the cat needs surgery on his knees to make the joints more stable, but it is a costly procedure. Georgie also mentioned that the cat has undergone dental procedures to trim his lower canines to just a few millimeters above the gum line.
He arrived at the animal shelter with both eyes intact, but unfortunately, one eye had suffered damage and had to be surgically removed.
By removing the eye, he managed to survive the infection, stopping it from advancing to a deadly septic state.
I was volunteering at the animal shelter when Frankie arrived. Since I was a foster parent, they asked me to look after him for a week while he recovered from his eye surgery.
It wasn’t just his unique appearance that captured my attention – it was his gentle nature, his curiosity as he explored his surroundings, and how he sought solace in my presence.
I went to see him before his surgery and was immediately drawn to his kind nature. As he rested at home post-procedure, I could feel there was something uniquely wonderful about him, even though I struggled to articulate it.
As per what frank_n_kitten shared, his unique physical condition affects his daily life in some ways. His cute front ears may impact his hearing slightly by acting as little earmuffs for his real ears. Even though he only has one eye, he has adapted well, although his night vision is not as sharp as his other feline friends. Walking with splay-legged due to his legs doesn’t bother him, and it doesn’t stop him from playing or jumping around. The biggest challenge for him is eating wet food, as he struggles to grasp it properly. As a result, he’s on a dry food-only diet and has mastered the art of picking up kibble with his tongue, bypassing the use of his teeth.
