A few weeks ago, a 15-year-old cat named Squishy, along with her 17-year-old sister, were rescued from a bleak future. Squishy quickly formed a strong bond with her savior and refused to leave her side.
The Kitty Adventure Rescue League Sanctuary warmly welcomed Squishy and her sister after their previous owners could no longer care for them. Karyn Poplin, the sanctuary’s founder, offered them a loving home in Fort Worth, Texas, to spend their golden years in comfort. According to Karyn, the sisters were facing euthanasia for unknown reasons before they found refuge at the sanctuary. Upon arrival, the 15-year-old cat, Squishy, immediately gravitated towards Karyn, demanding cuddles and forming an instant bond with her.
The Kitty Adventure Rescue League Sanctuary is where Karyn found Squishy, a cat who adores being in Karyn’s arms and doesn’t seem to care much about anything else as long as she’s with her. Squishy always stays by Karyn’s side, paying no attention to the other cats in the house and insisting to be picked up with loud meows.
In the Kitty Adventure Rescue League Sanctuary, Karlyn shared how her cat, Squishy, demands attention. Whether she’s holding Squishy or not, the feline purrs and smiles, allowing Karlyn to continue with her tasks. However, when not in her arms, Squishy becomes irritated and will even find sneaky ways to stay close, like hiding under blankets or behind her back. Karlyn realized that privacy is a thing of the past with her demanding cat around, prompting her to devise a plan to meet all of Squishy’s needs.
During her visit to the Kitty Adventure Rescue League Sanctuary, Karyn excitedly shared her recent purchase of a carrier to keep her furry friend happy and contained throughout the day. Opting for a medium size, Karyn soon realized it was a bit small as it required zipping up the sides. Despite this small mishap, Karyn noted that her cat was content, willing to be a little troublemaker just to have her complete focus.
Squishy, a tiny little feline weighing in at only five pounds, boasts an abundance of soft, squishy skin that simply makes her adorable. Squishy revels in being snuggled up snugly in the arms of her human mom.
