Say hello to Emmy Lou Sugarbean, a kitty with special needs who has a unique appearance with a sad expression and twisted arms. Despite her challenges, she was filled with joy and happiness as she left the shelter and found her forever home. Let’s welcome Truckasaurus, as she is lovingly known!
Emmy Lou was born with a condition called radial hypoplasia, causing her arms to be bent due to the short or missing radius bone. When she was around two years old, she ended up in a shelter after being surrendered, but it was clear she didn’t belong there.
Karyn Poplin, from Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary, shared with Love meow, “The shelter staff really cared for her and wanted to find a better place for her and reached out to me on Facebook.”
After weeks of anticipation, the day finally arrived. Emmy Lou was taken out of the shelter and into the loving care of her new family.
From the kind folks at Kitty Adventure Rescue League Sanctuary, it was mentioned that her eyelids aren’t quite right – they don’t open fully, giving her a sad appearance. But don’t judge a book by its cover – this sweet kitty purrs like a revving engine!
During her journey to her forever home, her loud purrs filled the air, reaching every corner of the car. She radiated happiness and wanted to make sure everyone around her felt it too.
Karyn and her husband decided to invest in some cozy rugs and carpets to make their home more comfortable for little Emmy Lou to move around. These additions not only provide traction and enhance mobility for Emmy Lou, who loves hopping around like a bunny, but they also make it easier for her to join in on snuggle time on the bed.
From the Kitty Adventure Rescue League Sanctuary, comes a feline with boundless energy and a can-do attitude. This adventurous cat is a master at scaling windows and cat trees, always on the prowl for anything that catches her eye.
Despite being a little slower than other cats, Karyn shared with Love meow that this fearless feline is blissfully unaware of her differences.

Emmy Lou’s eyes are truly unique; she has heterochromia, with one eye being blue and the other green.
“She also has a great enthusiasm for scaling the pet stairs, spending her days navigating up and down, occasionally nudging other cats in a playful attempt to get them involved,” Karyn shared with Love meow during their visit to Kitty Adventure Rescue League Sanctuary.

Little Truckasaurus has been a part of her loving family and furry companions for a while now, bringing joy with her loud purrs and endless cuteness throughout the house.
